CHINESE INK — NATURE & LIFE
My Chinese ink paintings are inspired by the living world—flowers, birds, fish, insects, animals, and the quiet rhythms of nature.
Rooted in the expressive tradition of Chinese painting, these works explore the relationship between brush, ink, color, and empty space. Rather than pursuing literal representation, I seek to capture the character, movement, and inner vitality of each subject.
A flower opening, a fish turning through water, or an animal caught in a fleeting gesture can become a moment of observation and emotional connection. Spontaneous washes are balanced with deliberate lines, while areas of untouched paper allow the composition to breathe.
Through these works, I bring traditional Chinese visual language into a personal and contemporary expression. Nature is not simply something to depict, but a way of reflecting on movement and stillness, strength and fragility, and the quiet vitality shared by all living things.
