SPIRITUAL INK

This series explores the inner and spiritual dimensions of experience through the simplicity of black ink, water, and empty space.

Rather than describing the visible world literally, I allow ink to flow, dissolve, gather, and disappear across the paper. Mountains, water, distant figures, birds, boats, and undefined forms emerge from washes of black and grey, often suspended between presence and absence.

Rooted in the expressive language of Chinese ink painting, these works move beyond traditional landscape toward a more personal and contemplative space. The fluidity of ink allows chance and intention to coexist: forms appear unexpectedly, boundaries dissolve, and emptiness becomes as meaningful as the painted mark.

For me, these paintings are reflections on the relationship between the visible and the unseen, the material and the spiritual, solitude and connection. A distant path, a solitary figure, or a light emerging from darkness can become a metaphor for the inner journey.

Through reduction, silence, and ambiguity, I seek not to explain, but to create a space in which the viewer may pause, feel, and encounter something beyond what can be seen.
